Life from Freshman

University is very different from what I expected. I was not sure what to expect going into uni apart from freedom but
truly there is one broad of anexperience in it. On one hand, I have the freedom to choose what classes I take and which ones I skip. On the other hand, there are times when I miss out on classes because of health reasons or other commitments that arise out of circumstances beyond my control. As my life as a student has changed over the years, so has my perspective about this process. It is a process that becomes fiercer every day and yet it does not get any easier or even more enjoyable everyday.
I have been robbed in my hostels several times. Being robbed feels like a dream to me, where I am just out of control of myself. I feel like its not my fault, but then again I feel so vulnerable and exposed when I come back from travelling alone to a hostel. This happens most during the night when no body is at home, except for me and the owner of the property where I stay. For security reasons, I prefer staying with other people rather than being on my own in a place that can get raided at anytime by thieves using the same route. But some times they cannot take me around as they are afraid that they might be caught by the police. If this happens then they will regret going as they might get arrested themselves!
Getting robbed from parties can be quite a difficult thing to deal with. As a university student, you curse your luck as you try to regain control over your belongings, which were probably taken by the other party. Unfortunately, no one wants to deal with it and instead they opt out of it and resort to just getting rid of the situation by blaming someone or something.
Universities and colleges are not just for education. While the classes are super interesting and challenging too, they teach us a lot of life skills.
